Hugo Santillan is an Associate in Leveraged Finance at Barclays Capital. Prior to his current role, he worked as an investment banking analyst in Communications and Media and Equity Capital Markets. He joined Lehman Brothers in 2007 after working as a Summer Analyst with Citigroup in Equity Research. In addition to the Young Leadership Board of NYNY, Hugo serves on the Board of Engineers of Blue Engine, an organization that harnesses the power of national service to accelerate academic achievement and increase "college readiness" in low-income high schools across America. He has also served as a mentor/career-coach for various other non-profits, including the Harlem Children Zone, Citizens Schools, and Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO).
Hugo graduated in 2007, magna cum laude with a B.B.A in Finance and minors in Law and Economics from Pace University. While at Pace University, Hugo was part of the Lubin Leaders and Scholars Program, Treasurer of Beta Alpha Psi and 1 of 10 national recipients of the Citigroup Fellows Scholarship, awarded by the Hispanic Scholarship Fund.
