Galila graduated from Harvard University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Government. Galila developed her interest in mentorship and education while volunteering with a student group dedicated to providing SAT preparation classes, college application advice, and homework help for local high school students in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Galila also worked as a Hometown Recruiter for Harvard University’s Minority Recruitment Program, visiting schools in Rockland County, New York to discuss admissions, financial aid, and student life with prospective applicants from diverse backgrounds.
Before joining America Needs You, Galila worked with Health Leads, a national healthcare organization dedicated to equipping low-income health center patients with community resources and public benefits (such as utility bill assistance, nutritious food access, job training, and adult education) that they need to be healthy. Galila is a New York native from the Hudson Valley.
