Eileen DeLeon is Program Coordinator at New York Needs You.
Eileen graduated magna cum laude from The City College of New York in 2010 where she earned a B.A. in Economics and pursued minors in English Literature and Publishing. In 2008, Eileen was awarded the Jeannette K. Watson Fellowship, a competitive award for promising and talented undergraduates that provides paid internships for three consecutive summers. She has since interned at Echoing Green, a not-for-profit organization that provides seed funding to social entrepreneursl; The Conference Board, a global research organization that disseminates knowledge about management and the marketplace to help businesses strengthen their performance and better serve society; and the Campaign for Youth Justice, an advocacy group based in Washington, D.C. dedicated to ending the practice of trying, charging, and incarcerating youth under the age of 18 in the adult criminal justice system. She has also spent some time in the private sector as an intern at Simon & Schuster, one of the largest general interest book publishers in the world.
In the future, Eileen plans to return to graduate school to pursue a Master's in Business Administration which she hopes to apply to a career in non-profit management.
