I was born into an artistic family. Each of us had our own unique style and form of expression. Being the youngest of five, the expectations for my future were especially high. As years passed we experienced family challenges and I became aware that an artistic career path had a reputation for having low income jobs. Because of this, none of my siblings pursued their passion for art, except me.
I attend Lehman College where I double major in art and multimedia journalism, but I don’t plan to stop there. I want to pursue a Master’s in sociology to better my understanding about human behavior.
My dreams are vague, I want to touch the lives of many and evoke change. How? I honestly don’t know yet. My future plans are still a blur to me but, after every America Needs You workshop the fog clears up a little and my goals seem more attainable. ANY was, and still is, the one group of people who help me to see my true potential.
