Sonnia is a Vice President within the Human Capital Management Division at Goldman, Sachs & Co., where she has worked since 2001. Sonnia joined Goldman Sachs as an Analyst within the Investment Banking Divisionís Healthcare Group. She transferred to Goldman Sachs University (GSU) within IBD in 2003, managing the IBD New Banker Training program globally, and the New Banker Continuing Education Program for the Americas. Sonnia relocated to the London office in 2006 with GSU where she was responsible for the development and implementation of Global IBD Experienced Hire Integration, the Continuing Education and Professional Development Curriculum, and the London IBD New Analyst Training Program. In 2007, Sonnia became the head of Diversity Recruiting for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. In that role, she was responsible for developing and administering the firms' diversity strategy and overseeing the development of programs aimed to attract candidates from historically underrepresented groups from both a graduate and experienced hire perspective.
Sonnia relocated back to New York in 2009 and currently works within Global Leadership and Diversity where she is responsible for the Black and Hispanic talent management initiatives for the firm. Sonnia graduated magna cum laude with a BS in Finance from Hampton University, Virginia.
