Sheila Ramachandra (Strategic Partnerships Manager)

Sheila Ramachandra is Strategic Partnerships Manager at New York Needs You.

Sheila previously worked for three years in the Finance division of Goldman Sachs with the multi-billion dollar direct hedge fund business of its asset management arm. While there, she oversaw the profit allocation, fee calculation, and financial reporting for more than fifty GS funds, as well as assisting in the regular launches of new fund vehicles. Sheila graduated summa cum laude with degrees in Economics and Political Science from Rutgers University. Her honors thesis on the role of endowments at institutions of higher education was selected as a finalist in an academic journal paper competition. At Rutgers, Sheila took a leadership role at IDIA, a non-profit providing innovative civic education programs for high school students, running a Model United Nations conference in Philadelphia for three hundred students. Sheila is an avid traveler and has enjoyed studying, visiting, and volunteering across Europe, Africa, and Asia.
