Joshua Kushner
Joshua Kushner is the Managing Partner of Thrive Capital. As a Junior in college, Joshua co-founded Vostu, which has grown to be the largest social gaming company in Latin America with approximately 40M registered users and 400 employees. Vostu has received approximately $50M of investment from Tiger Global Management, Accel, Intel and General Catalyst. Joshua grew up in the real estate business and went to work in his family’s company at the age of 15, where he was introduced to value analysis. Joshua continued to gain experience at Vornado Realty Trust, SL Green Realty Corp., Goldman Sachs Real Estate Investment Banking, and in the Private Equity Group at Goldman Sachs in the Merchant Banking Division. His plans to build a career in real estate were disrupted when he conceptualized and built Vostu.
Joshua currently serves as Principal of Kushner Companies, a diversified real estate investment company. Its holdings include the Observer Media Group, of which Joshua is a board member.
Joshua is a board member of Art.sy, a company he helped conceptualize and finance. He founded Thrive in 2009 to leverage his entrepreneurial experience and to invest in early stage consumer and digital media companies.
Joshua has a B.A. in Government from Harvard College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
