Erin Goldson
Erin Goldson is currently a Marketing Strategy analyst within Ogilvy & Mather’s consulting practice. In her role, she helps clients (such as GAP, IKEA, Time Warner Cable and Siemens) solve a range of business problems using consumer, industry, competitive, and business analyses to inform integrated communications strategies. Erin joined Ogilvy in 2009 when she was selected out of a pool of 1,000+ for their Associate Program - one of the most reputable training programs in the advertising industry. During the one year rotational, Erin worked with an array of clients from the United Nations to Nestlé on new business pitches and global campaigns. Erin has also been closely involved with the development of OgilvyCulture – a cross-cultural practice that helps clients understand the business impact of the US’ changing demographic landscape. Erin is passionate about advertising and loves Ogilvy!
In addition to day to day client work, Erin is a leader of Ogilvy’s Young Professional Network and helps run Ogilvy’s Future Marketers program. Future Marketers brings 15 sixth graders annually from Harlem’s PS 123 to Ogilvy bi-weekly to teach the students the ins and outs of advertising. The program culminates with the students creating a marketing campaign for one of Ogilvy’s clients that resonate with a “tween” audience.
Prior to joining Ogilvy, Erin was a marketing intern at MTV, Universal Records, UVA’s Health System and spent a summer as a Sales and Trading intern at JP Morgan. Originally from Washington, DC, Erin graduated from the University of Virginia in 2009 where she earned her BA in English and was an elected member of UVA’s Student Council. Erin also served as a Peer Advisor to UVA’s first-year Black Students. In her free time Erin loves travel.
