Chika Anoliefo (Operations Coordinator)

Chika Anoliefo is Operations Coordinator at New York Needs You.

Prior to joining NYNY, Chika worked at Scholastic Inc. and the U.S. Census Bureau. While at Scholastic, she updated and reviewed contracts in preparation for the department’s database migration. At the Census, she served as an Office Operations Supervisor, helping to manage payroll and personnel processes for more than 1,000 employees.

Chika received her B.A. from New York University (NYU) in 2009, completing majors in Journalism and English. During her time at NYU, she developed interests in publishing and education. She worked as a tutor for America Reads, helping first and fifth graders with reading comprehension, vocabulary and writing. She also interned in the Classroom Magazines division at Scholastic, a leading educational publisher for grades K-12. Chika is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, and enjoys cheering for her hometown sports teams, reading and playing basketball in her free time.
