C. Melvin Ike

C. Melvin Ike is currently an Investment Associate at TPG Capital, a global private investment firm. Prior to joining TPG, he was an Investment Banking Analyst in the Restructuring & Reorganization Group at Lazard Frères. He has also held previous positions at The Blackstone Group and Goldman, Sachs & Co.

C. Melvin is an alumnus of Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO) and is currently involved in the implementation of SEO’s Alternative Investment Fellowship Program (AIFP), which aims to mentor and train traditionally underrepresented young professionals for careers in private equity and hedge funds. Melvin is an honors graduate from The University of Texas at Austin where he was a student-athlete and received a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering and a concentration in Biophysics.
