NEW YORK CITY NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION LAUNCHES

YOUNG PROFESSIONAL GIVING SOCIETY

New York, NY – New York Needs You (NYNY), a non-profit organization with the distinctive and vital vision to champion high-potential first-generation college students by providing them with the most intensive career mentorship program in New York City, is launching the 101% Society, a unique giving society for New York City’s young professionals.

Society Members pledge to donate 100% of their talent and 1% of their annual income to New York Needs You each calendar year.  The giving society is composed of NYNY Mentor Coaches, Career Coaches, and Young Leadership Board members who have been frontline participants in building New York Needs You. 101% Society Members enjoy discounted tickets for key NYNY events and a series of networking events with high-profile executives.

Young professional volunteers play a central role in delivering the key messages of the NYNY curriculum to our Fellows, open doors for the NYNY Fellows to competitive internships, and encourage their networks to get involved. The NYNY 101% Society is a vehicle through which we hope to engage this important group as a collective community and financial partner.

“92% of the NYNY Fellows secured competitive summer internships, and 100% remain enrolled in college after one year in the program,” stated NYNY’s Executive Director PJ Kim.“This success would not be possible without the commitment of our impressive corps of volunteers.”
