College: Binghamton University (transferred from Kingsborough Community College)
NYNY Internships: New York Downtown Hospital and Metropolitan Jewish Health System
I am originally from Hong Kong and I came to the U.S with my parents in 2008. In the beginning, I was not very used to living in New York City because of the language barrier. Through the encouragement, motivation and support of my parents, I started to become more comfortable with living here. I decided to go to college not only to improve my language skills, but also to seek more opportunities.
I chose to attend Kingsborough Community College and major in Business Administration as my first step. Through taking some business courses, I realized that I had more interest in finance. Participating in NYNY as a Fellow is a great opportunity for me to clarify my future career plans, expand my social network and enhance my communication skills. The NYNY program offers career information I can obtain from different Mentor Coaches from a number of companies and industries. I believe that being a NYNY Fellow is the fundamental step that will help me reach success.
