I am originally from Cochin, India, and came to the United States on December 31, 2004. For me, I have come to value harmony from the unconditional love preached by the Catholic Church and from the honest service practiced by my parents. My dad was a minister at a local church and gave hope to many faithful people, and my mom served as a nurse at a neighboring hospital and took care of the elderly. My upbringing molded me into someone who cares for the happiness of everyone, and it is because of this that I hope to become a psychiatrist so that I can help all of my patients.
Ever since I came to this beautiful country, I have been working to achieve my version of the American Dream, and the New York Needs You Fellowship has provided the help I need to accomplish my goals. The fellowship has taught me how to build relationships and how to communicate efficiently. It has identified my strengths and talents, and it has given me a great amount of confidence to reach my fullest potential.
